Description

The Thermo Scientific Multiskan FC is a filter-based microplate reader designed for absorbance measurements in research and routine-testing laboratories. It measures absorbance across a wavelength range of 340 to 850 nm from 0 to 6 absorbance units, and provides a resolution of 0.001 AU. Laboratories can use it for ELISA, protein quantification, enzyme kinetics, endotoxin testing and microbial growth analysis. Furthermore, fast mode reads a complete 96-well plate in approximately seven seconds, helping users process samples efficiently. An eight-position filter wheel lets users select suitable wavelengths for different assays. Meanwhile, integrated linear shaking promotes consistent results by mixing samples directly within the instrument. Users can control the Multiskan FC through its built-in graphical interface and keypad, allowing it to operate without a separate computer. Alternatively, Thermo Scientific SkanIt software (not included) supports method creation, data analysis and results export. Built-in self-diagnostics check instrument performance and support reliable daily operation.
