About this model
Preparative chromatography system for method and process development and scale-up. Flow rates of 0.01 to 150 mL/min (up to 300 mL/min for column packing) at up to 5 MPa. Standard U9-M UV monitor reads up to three wavelengths at once across 190 to 700 nm, with in-line conductivity and pH monitoring. Seven inlets each for buffers A, B and samples (expandable to 14), a quaternary valve for BufferPro buffer preparation, 10 outlets (expandable to 32) and a built-in cooled fraction collector (6 to 20 °C, up to 576 fractions). Controlled by UNICORN software.

ÄKTA avant 150 FPLC system built in 2022, with the U9-M multiwavelength UV monitor, conductivity and pH monitoring, a dedicated sample pump and the built-in fraction collector. Configuration: U9-M UV monitor; C9 conductivity monitor; V9H-pH valve; P9H-S sample pump; Q9 quaternary valve; V9H-C column valve; V9H-IA, V9H-IB and V9H-IS inlet valves; V9H-Inj injection valve with 500 µL loop; V9H-O outlet valve; built-in fraction collector with cassette tray and 6 x 50 mL racks. Condition and testing: fully functional and serviced. In-house tests run on the air sensor, gradient, pressure, valves, sample peak and a test injection. The Cytiva service label on the unit is dated 16 January 2026. Software and computer: UNICORN software and a control PC are not included. The PC shown in the photos is for demonstration only.
