CPS Instruments DC18000 Disc Centrifuge Particle Size Analyser
CPS Instruments · DC18000 · ref ML-6C3AD31E
Description
A rare opportunity for any lab looking for a fully functional differential sedimentation particle size analyzer. A CPS DC18000 disc centrifuge in working condition, including the original installation diskettes and fully installed CPSV91 software on an included USB stick. The unit has been recently tested and runs without issues. Anyone who has ever looked for a second-hand DC18000 knows how big the problem is: you can still find the unit, but not the software. Those diskettes have been out of circulation for decades, and CPS no longer provides support for this version. Without the software, the device is just an expensive piece of metal. This unit comes with everything you need to start measuring tomorrow. Included: the unit itself with serial USB cable and power cable, all original installation diskettes, the software fully installed and tested on modern hardware, and complete installation instructions for reinstallation if necessary. Ideal for research groups in polymer chemistry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, paints and coatings, or quality control. Model: CPS DC18000 Measuring principle: Disc Centrifuge / centrifugal sedimentation with optical detection Maximum rotation speed: 18,000 rpm Minimum rotation speed: 600 rpm Particle size measurement range: approx. 40 µm (depending on particle density) Typical resolution: < 5% difference in particle size for narrow distributions Typical accuracy: ±0.5% Typical analysis time: 3–30 minutes, depending on the sample and settings Power supply: 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz (model/configuration dependent) Maximum power consumption: approx. 750 W Dimensions (W × D × H): approx. 36 × 45 × 26 cm Weight: approx. 38.5 kg
